APPROACH
Onsite data collection, Chiller, pumps COP & efficiency measurement, data logging for 1 week, Building Energy Modelling using eQUEST.
FINDINGS
- Chiller earlier was slightly oversized and was unable to address the performance at part load. Being oversized earlier it was unable to work at its optimum efficiency.
- Atmospheric conditions in Saudi Arabia are dry and hot. Hence condensing temperature during the day was around 40-50°C.
- Chilled water primary and secondary pumps earlier were not running close to duty point. Further, they were unable to give right amount of flow required by chiller.
